Instructions on How to Design a Card to Hand Out
(The card is used to express your need for a kidney transplant)

As we discuss in our workshops and webinars, letting others know about your need for a kidney transplant should be your primary objective when pursuing a living kidney transplant. Handing out information that describes your situation will help you spread the word.

The Living Kidney Donors Network (LKDN) has designed a business card that you could personalize and hand out to the people you and your advocates talk to. The front of the card includes your contact information…feel free to leave the LKDN website address as a resource. You could personalize the back of the card with additional information and include the name and phone number of the donor advocate at your hospital. You should first speak to your transplant coordinator to make sure that the donor advocate knows that they will receive calls requesting more information.

Many people who are looking into being a donor may feel more comfortable talking to a donor advocate.

To print your card, go to: www.fedex.com/us/office

Click on “Login” (Upper right side)

 

 

 

 

 

 

This will take you to a sign in form and will ask for an email address and a password.

The email address to enter is: info@LKDN.org
The Password is: businesscard

When you are logged in, click on: “My Account” (Top Right Side)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This will take you to the business cards that have been previously printed. You could use any of these as templates by clicking on “edit” which will be to the right of each business card shown.

From there you could make any changes to the front or back of the card before placing your order. To make changes, click on the area you would like to change and an “edit” window will appear. Click on the pull down arrow and click on “edit.” Remember to edit the back of the card.

While you are editing the front side you could fill out the form on the left with your personal information.

Note -- In order to have the cards delivered to you, FedEx requires some personal information, address etc. After placing your order, you could go back into the account and delete that order, or remove your address from the form and save it with the option, “save for later,” which is under the name, address etc.
